LogicTree is looking for a QA Lead to join our team to be engaged in advanced, innovative product and system development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining the overall test strategy for LogicTree, including the standardization of all test assets (test plans, cases, scripts, tools, framework, environments etc.)
  • Hands on leadership in all phases of the project life-cycle, including project and test planning, test execution, requirements review and analysis, test reporting and assessment, and deployment readiness verification
  • Creating, planning, executing, managing, and reporting on product and project test efforts to meet project deadlines
  • Leading the hands on testing effort for every product and project in the LogicTree arsenal
  • Identifying and mitigating project and/or test risks and escalating, delegating and resolving issues with appropriate members of the project team
  • Manage test schedules and effectively communicate test progress
  • Interact with Senior Management for project and product quality status and advocate software quality throughout the company
  • Develop and implement a metrics program to evaluate the effectiveness of testing
  • Strong mentoring, team building, and counseling skills on software engineering and career issues
  • Provide training, direction, and support to Testing team
  • Improve and streamline the test process, including reviewing new technologies and methodologies

Requirements:

  • Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or related field and 6 years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years as QA Lead/Lead experience
  • Extensive experience with IVR and/or other speech application development and testing
  • Experience with web, mobile web, SMS, MMS, and/or email application testing
  • A strong commitment to produce high quality software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Recent and proven record of hands on test activity as well as leadership skills and abilities
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with various types of testing (stress, load, latency, black box, regression etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills, including estimation and release management, project planning, etc
  • Databases and SQL languages: Experience working with MySQL. Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres are a plus
  • Experience with Test Driven Development methods is highly desired
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, Extreme Programming, etc.)

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience with Voice XML and other related standards highly desired
  • Understanding of web content management, process work flows, portals and other web based user and data management systems
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, inc. Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Quick learner with strong analytical skills – proven ability to switch to new technical areas and ramp-up very quickly
  • Experience with Software Management Tools (i.e. Subversion, JIRA) and test management tools (i.e. TestLink) is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with senior management, customers and peers
