Generally known as “511 Traveler Information”, these services are provided by many Departments of Transportation to communicate important public safety announcements, aid traffic management, and inform travelers of incidents and weather that can impact their travel.
LogicTree delivers these services via voice, SMS, web, mobile web and mobile app, including the ability to automatically “push” personalized, relevant, timely and location-based data, while helping to avoid the risks of driver distraction. LogicTree manages three of the top four 511 Traveler Information systems in the U.S., servicing over a million inquiries per month.
The foundation for 511 Traveler Information provides up-to-date information for motorists regarding incidents, construction, lane closures and special events. This information is geographically referenced to hotspots, regions, cities, exits and mile markers, or predetermined roadway segments in order to provide the most intuitive reference point for the driver.
Travel speeds and times provide the quickest indicators of travel conditions on freeways and highways. They are determined via integration to third party data feeds or data recorded by roadway sensors. When combined with Traffic Alerts & Incidents, motorists and commercial operators have the most complete picture of travel conditions on their route.
LogicTree integrates third party weather feed data to provide atmospheric weather forecasts and alerts specific to the roadway and region in which the motorist is traveling. Additionally, states with Road Weather Information System (RWIS) information can provide detailed road condition information that indicates winter driving conditions.
LogicTree provides personalized services that provide proactive notification and streamlined access to traffic information via voice, SMS, web, mobile web and mobile app. Motorists can create their own personalized travel profiles, indicating when and where they frequently travel and the method by which they want to be notified of roadway events and congestion that impact their commute. This “push” service ensures that critical travel information is delivered when it is most relevant, offering the most efficient means of delivering time-sensitive data to the driver or operator.
Municipalities are seeking ways to streamline the process of enabling motorists to locate and navigate to available parking as a means to manage congestion and reduce pollution.
